Typically held in early November, this ride is perfectly timed for the weather, scenery and wine. There is also an Italian food and wine party at the finish. Our favorite feature of the ride is the wine hauling SAG van. The ride begins at Michael David Winery, it is always flat and all of the tastings are free for riders. The course and participating wineries vary a bit from year to year, but it is typically a 40 to 50 mile ride (65 to 80 kilometers) with 6 to 8 wine tasting stops. This stately home was built in 1926 and is perfectly located on one of "old" Lodi's most desirable tree-lined streets, and arguably the best VRBO for easy walking distance to tasting rooms, restaurants, theaters, parks and downtown.
